Golf Team Heading to Nationals

The Walters State golf team earned a trip to the NJCAA national tournament at Palm Valley Golf Course in Phoenix (Az.) by winning the NJCAA Region VII tournament  at Clinchview Golf and Country Club.

The Senators tallied a two-day total of 623 (315-308), which was 31 strokes better than Saint Catharine (322-332-654). Luke Fullen recorded a two-day total of 153 (77-76) for Walters State. Bowin Newgent had a 154 (78-76), Josh Jeffers and Jeremy Cason each finished at 158 with rounds of 80 and 78 while Corbin Norton had a 164 (85-79).
